200hr Yoga Teacher Training
Are You Ready for this YTT?
-
This is by far the most frequently asked question. Trainees often feel they need to be able to do advanced inversions, arm balances, or hold a perfect lotus pose for hours. The truth? You absolutely do not.
What really matters:
Consistent Practice: Most programs recommend at least 6-12 months of consistent yoga practice. This ensures you have a basic understanding of asanas (poses) and your body's capabilities.
A Desire to Learn: This is the most crucial element. YTT is about learning, not about showing off existing mastery. You'll delve into philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, and the subtle aspects of breath and mind.
An Open Mind: Be prepared to be challenged, physically and mentally. The journey is as much about self-discovery as it is about mastering poses.
-
Another common misconception is that YTT is only for those who want to become professional yoga teachers. While many do go on to teach, a significant number of trainees (often 30-50% in a given program) join simply to:
Deepen Their Personal Practice: Understand alignment, anatomy, and philosophy on a profound level.
Explore Yoga's Roots: Dive into the spiritual and historical aspects often glossed over in regular classes.
Personal Growth: Use the intensive experience for self-reflection, personal development, and connection with a like-minded community.
-
We don't believe in a "one-style-fits-all" approach. The modern yoga market requires versatile teachers. Our program is built on three core, complementary styles so you graduate as a well-rounded instructor:
Hatha: The foundation. You'll learn to teach precise, alignment-based classes, mastering individual poses.
Vinyasa: The flow. You'll learn to intelligently sequence a dynamic, breath-led class.
Yin: The surrender. You'll learn the science of connective tissue and the art of holding a quiet, deep, restorative space.
-
Our entire curriculum is rooted in modern, science-backed anatomy and biomechanics. We don't just tell you what to do; we teach you why it works. You'll learn how to teach all bodies safely, not just the young, flexible ones.
-
Our faculty are career professionals, not recent grads. Each of our lead trainers has over a decade of real-world teaching and training experience. You are learning from seasoned experts who have built sustainable careers and understand the difference between a trendy pose and timeless, safe instruction.
-
Yes. We are a fully registered 200-Hour Yoga School (RYS 200) with Yoga Alliance. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be eligible to register with YA as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), which is the international standard for yoga teachers.

Examination
The written examination for the Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program will assess your understanding of yoga philosophy and functional yoga anatomy. This component includes multiple-choice questions to test foundational knowledge, as well as written essays requiring in-depth analysis and personal reflection on philosophical concepts and anatomical principles applied to asana practice.
Practical evaluation will be based on consistent weekly yoga practice attendance at the studio, ensuring active participation throughout the training. The final class exam requires each yogi to demonstrate teaching proficiency by leading a 20- to 45-minute yoga class, showcasing sequencing, cueing, adjustments, and alignment expertise in a real-time setting.
